SSRI Stories Page 22 When I began taking Lexapro 10 months ago for depression I
experienced a major loss of appetite, dizziness, insomnia, fatigue and nausea.
When these side effects went away I was convinced that I would not experience
any others. It wasn't until my boyfriend pointed out my difficulties with my
memory and then found this website that I realized that something was very
wrong. My experience with memory loss seemed to happen gradually. At least I
think it did. I have also experienced difficulty focusing and it often feels as
though I am in a cloud. I become irritable when I am in the middle of a
conversation and cannot remember what I was just saying. I am 27 years old and
I cannot remember what I did yesterday. I have experienced heart flutters,
constipation, migraines and am having difficulty remembering all the side
effects I have had. I have very little to no sex drive, an increase in acne and
have found that I have began obsessively picking and biting at my fingernail! My 12 year old daughter was prescribed Lexapro for depression and anxiety. She's been taking it for 7 weeks now, and she is so much worse. She has become a very angry person. She can't seem to rationalize or be reasonable about anything. Within two weeks of first starting on Lexapro, her depression symptoms INCREASED and she claims to hate me and just about everyone else in the world. She has run away twice and seems very confused and angry about everything. I want her off the Lexapro!
